Founded in 1958, Dataflow has been managing information for design professionals for 50 years. Dataflow has grown from a small family business under the direction of founders Dale and Beverly Zimmerman serving the microfilm and blueprint needs of the construction industry and local defense contractors to a full-service digital print and imaging solutions provider across New York State and beyond. Our clients range from government and Fortune 500 firms to home-based businesses. Then as now, it is our goal to be viewed as a seamless extension of our clients’ teams.

Second-generation owners Dan Zimmerman and Julie McCormick continued the tradition of merging cutting edge technology with good old fashioned customer service. This approach has served the company well and helped mold Dataflow into what it is today, with more branches, wider variety of services, expanded expertise and a culture that focuses on customer satisfaction. We take pride in encouraging innovative approaches and understand the need to constantly upgrade our expertise through the training of our staff to coincide with the upgrading of our equipment and software.

Our founders’ philosophy continues to be our foundation: “there is no challenge we cannot meet; an obsession with customer service is paramount to success”. Built on these principles, Dataflow has become a leader in delivering solutions on demand, on paper, and online.

Acquisition of WL Coughtry’s, Albany, NY.
Syracuse office opened, Dodge Plan Room co-locates with Dataflow.
Dodge Plan Room co-locates with Dataflow Rochester, NY.
McGraw-Hill Construction partnership announced.

2005

Dataflow Reprographics, LLC is designated a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE).
Rochester office opened.

2004

Acquisition of Russell Rhoades Reprographics, Utica, NY.
Acquisition of BC Reprographics, Binghamton, NY.
Dan Zimmerman elected Chairman of the Board, ReproMAX.
Acquisition of National Direct Reprographics, Schenectady, NY.

2003

Corning/Elmira office opened.

2002

Dataflow becomes a ReproMAX partner.
Dataflow becomes a beta site for ReproMAX DFS, only the second world-wide.

1996

Dataflow acquires Gregory Paul Press, Ithaca, NY.

1995

Dan Zimmerman joins as partner.
First in area to offer high volume engineering document scanning services.

Julie McCormick joins as partner.

First in area to offer large format digital color services.

First in area to offer 36” wide laser CAD plotting services.

First in area to offer large format photographic pin registration services.

First in area to offer high speed, print-for-pay copying services with the Xerox 9200 system.

First in area to develop “macroprint systems” for output from microfilm.

Dataflow founded. The area’s 1st reprographic service bureau, offering 35mm microfilm and blueprints, autopositive and photo cloth.
